~ Recruitment ~

  1. The Episodes - Either on Napa Valley (with a pink robe) or on Siege Periolous (with a yellow robe) this step was always the same; all potential members would first be put on the Recruitment Stone until they recorded 2 steals with screenshots. These steals must be done useing the Stealing skill, they can't just be for bandages or apples, and they have to take place in 2 separate locations. This rule is here for 3 reasons:
    • When I first started recruiting members I had a problem with people joining the guild just because "they wanted to be my friend." They had no real interest in playing a thief. I had some members that never stole anything their entire time in the guild.
    • If someone wanted to infiltrate the guild just to kill me or steal something, at least I'd get something (the stories) out of them no matter what.
    • The thought of them running around in funny looking robes is funny. And as with everything in life, if it's funny, it's most likely worth doing.
  2. The Trials - Recruits may become subject to practical jokes, trapped crates, poisonous food, death gates, any other shenanigans any full member may think of. ("The Code" does not apply for recruits when it comes to the trials.)
  3. The Test - In an attempt to sniff out infiltrators (and because I have a knack for making oodles of enemies), all new recruits are required to repeat after me the following phrases:
    • "Pola is a code breaking thief and is terrible at her profession."
    • "Native Canadian is so bad at pvp that he needs cheats in order to kill people."
The idea is that if any one of these people were to use alternate accounts and pretend to be a recruit, at least I get a an embarrassing screenshot of them no matter what. This also gives me an excuse to have screenshots of these phrases being spoken over and over, forever making their names running jokes throughout the guild, the shard, and the entire readership of this site.
  4. The Mission - The final task (and most difficult) for all new recruits is to complete their mission. This mission is any random task thought up by me (or any other full member) on the spot. These missions could be dangerous or funny, but most likely a combination of both. These missions may take a few moments or days to complete.
