Episode 278: Follow the Greed

Hail friends,

At the local vendors, you never know who you'll bump into next.

SUPPERMAN of TnT runs past the vendor house, towards the bank, with me not far behind.

(The shopping would have to wait.)

And at the bank, I'm given two choices and limited time.

One red gate, one blue gate, and no SUPPERMAN in sight.

But... two gates?

One gate was coming, the other was going, and SUPPERMAN was on foot (and in a hurry).

(He wasn't alone.)

I choose blue.

(Wrong gate.)

*ponders*

*looks at house sign*

Davy... also of TnT?

With no factioners in and around Luna and a pair of TnT on the move, something was up and I was going to find out what it was. With no other leads, I head back to the scene of the crime.

(Gotcha.)

Ah, Despise, the lowly hole I gladly crawl out every chance I get. I never want to return and yet, it keeps sucking me back in time and time again. Back through the gate, up to Minoc, into town, gating off the guild roof runes, I take my time... If my instincts were right, there would be an army of TnT working the (rarely worked) spawn and none of them would be expecting visitors any time soon.

Anck-Su-Namun, Nixon, Chronic, Michelle, Gu'Jek, SUPPERMAN, and Tom Walts were all here, but it was only Nixon (the red) who I was worried about.

He keeps the fields up on both ends of the island, but he's a little sloppy. He throws them down for show, but the windows of opportunity are there for the taking. From west to east he casts the fields and then, momentarily... they drop.

Nixon comes back east and I circle around west.

From east to west, Nixon casts a few token fields and never stops for an earthquake.

(Lucky me.)

Barraccoon drops and I gladly take my pick of the spoils.

Chronic (and the 115 Mysticism) run through the gate, Michelle (and the 115 Swords) stays behind, and a trash worthy 115 Throwing gets discarded on the ground.

(I've seen enough.)

The majority of them leave, I make the steal, Anck-Su-Namun and her dragon sit idly by, and the scroll is mine.

They soon depart and to the victor goes the spoils.

All in a day's work.

(The real work was picking up and following the right clues. The rest... just fell nicely into place.)

'Til next time!
