>1.9: The Crossroads & Treasure Map 01

There's a thief about!

Another thief beat you to the treasure right when you were about to make your move. But there's no looking back.

At this point, your original motivation to keep on the move has changed. Between the boulders blocking the way to Umbra, the earthquake, and no sightings of any of the Luna Guard a while... it looks like they've lost your trail. But. Who were the people trying to take Endrick's orb from him?

The Luna Guard have lost your trail, but you're still a wanted man and the reward for your capture is steadily increasing. You can't worry about that now. Might as well make the most of it and see if Endrick can lead you to even more treasure.

>The Crossroads

[A] Save Point.
[B] Wandering Merchant. The Stats & Skills Report serves no real purpose. They're handy if you're tracking your skill gains, but the same information can be found at any save point. Grab a "Book of Chivalry" if you want some extra info on your new friend's abilities. And stock up on more Lesser Heal Potions if you're running low.
[C] Wandering Healer.
[D] The exit on the left leads North towards Minoc. At the gates of Minoc, you won't be getting very far with the sentries blocking the way. But. If you've picked up Treasure Map 01 way back in South Luna from the pretty girl in the Discount Inn, now's the time to use it. When you leave, you'll now take out the map and have the choice to go after some treasure and your first side-quest.
[E] The exit on the right leads East towards Vesper. Just another dead end. Either way you go, you have to choose one. When you return, Lord Book Master will be waiting here at the Crossroads to lead you on the next leg of your journy.
[F] From the bulletin board you can see that the reward for your capture is steadily rising. Another post is concerning a girl named Wendy. (I wonder what happened to her?)
[G] If you check the tomb stone on the left you'll find Treasure Map 02 next to it.

Warning: When Endrick joined your party, he only joined with 25 of each Bandage and 100 Tithing. His ability to heal your party is limited.

Tip: If you've sheered the Sheep at the entrance to Covetous and you've spun the wool and created a Bolt of Wool, now would be a good time to transform the Bolt of Cloth into 50 more Bandages.

[A] Public Stew.
[B] If you follow the instructions from the note on the wall, there is a path around the corner and under the bridge.
[C] A chest with a Resurrection Scroll
[D] A chest with 2000 gold pieces
[E] On the side, against the wall is a keg with enough liquid for 3 Lesser Poison Potions. If you have enough empty bottles you can fill them with the poison. You can then use that poison and apply it to your shurikens. Now, in addition to their normal damage, they will deal Lesser Poison to your enemies. (And you should have more than enough by now since you don't throw bottles away after potion use. Every time you've used a Heal, Cure, or Night Sight potion, you've been left with another Empty Bottle in your pack.)
[F] A chest with 7 Shurikens
[G] A chest with 3000 gold pieces
[H] The orcish note reads: "Treasure around the corner."

>Under the Bridge

[A] The Orcish Brute will wait for you to come to him. Defeating him is the only way to get to the chest that he guards.
[B] Once he's defeated, you'll be rewarded with 7 Resurrection Scrolls. A well earned gift.

Strategy: Be careful with this one. Both of his special moves are very dangerous. One damages your entire party, the other damages and inflicts Confusion. Also during the fight, other Orcs will join the fight.

Tip: If you still have any Lesser Explosion Potions left, feel free to bomb him to hell.
