Episode 0252: In the Spirit of THIEF (Part 1 of 4)
I found myself in Fel Destard on Sonoma tonight. I was spoiling for a fight - well, more specifically, I was spoiling for a theft.
Unfortunately, neither Hawkmoon nor Hate Crime had much worth while in their packs - certainly nothing that would tempt me to reveal my
under-combat-skilled self to a member of a rival faction! They did, however, leave a large amount of barbed leather scattered throughout
the dungeon...
Hate Crime ran about madly on his giant albino squirrel (my personal favorite magic mount - kudos), but was unable to accurately pinpoint
the sound of my scissors. Even when he parked the great white beast directly on top of me and a pile of uncut green hides, he failed to
notice my presence! Lamentably, I was forced to leave that pile to him.
Since I didn't particularly care for them mucking about in my personal dungeon, I snagged the pile of bandages from Hawkmoon's corpse
when he ran afoul of a Greater Dragon. Since he foolishly ran to rez in combat mode, I was able to follow his ghost for a screen
and a half before giving up my walking chase. KR didn't show any healers nearby, so I still wonder how he managed to recorporalize
so quickly...well done!
Not being a card-carrying THIEF member, I didn't have a screenshot utility running. I did, however, manage to catch their rather
flattering discussion of my sneaking ways in my KR journal...
...and a shot of my spoils. Not all of this leather came from tonight's minor fun, but most did.
Oh, I left a calling card, too! All due respect to Douglas Adams.
